This is a space for reflection, dialogue and development, not judgment.

This format offers photographers and artists a thoughtful editorial reading of their work, at any stage of a project: early ideas, works in progress, or finished series. The goal is not to say whether a project is “good” or “bad”, but to help it gain clarity, strength and coherence, so that form and intention fully resonate.

HOW
IT
WORKS

Portfolio reviews are conducted via online video-meeting.

Each participant may submit:

— an early-stage project (to unlock directions),

— a work-in-progress (to strengthen structure and intent),

— or a completed project (to refine selection, order, and presentation).

WHAT
YOU WILL
RECEIVE

AN IN-DEPTH review AND DISCUSSION

— a global reading of the project,

— feedback on concept and intention,

— feedback on form and visual language,

— notes on editing, selection, and rhythm,

— possible directions to explore,

— concrete suggestions for strengthening the project,

— and a set of open questions meant to support further development.

COLLECTIVE
REVIEW &
COMMUNITY
FEEDBACK

Some projects may be selected for a collective review through FIGURES Instagram.

For these projects:

— selected projects will be shared with our audience in stories, with up to 5 images and original text,

— followers will be invited to submit constructive feedbacks (via private messages),

— FIGURES will then synthesize these responses and share a summary with the artist, on top of the regular online-meeting review.

Participation in this collective review is optional and subject to editorial selection. We will not publish any work (finished or in-progress) without consent of the artist.

CAPACITY &
SCHEDULE

To ensure depth and quality, we accept a maximum of 10 projects per month.

FEE
