Northern Folklore is a series of black and white images taken in Iceland. The project explores empty landscapes, silence, and a quiet sense of unease.

The work moves through a volcanic environment, where smoke rises from the ground and spreads across the land. The place feels unstable and alive, as if something is moving under the surface.

A distant mountain appears through mist, its shape sharp and heavy, almost like a silent presence watching over the landscape.

A house stands under the night sky, holding the reflection of an eclipse. Nearby, a small cabin is surrounded by trees, isolated and cut off from the outside world.

A group gathers around a fire, as if sharing local folk stories. The scene feels calm, but also strange, as if something unseen is listening.

A blurred human-like form appears as a ghost, not fully visible, existing somewhere between presence and absence.

Above the land, an eclipse darkens the sky while the northern lights move slowly, like a quiet signal in the darkness.

Light flows through the series in a slow and unnatural way.

A black bird remains at the end, standing alone and watching.

The project suggests that the landscape is not empty, but filled with something hidden — something that remains, even when nothing is seen.
