We are publishing ‘Slow Photography’, which refers to a slower approach of creation, placing the story at the center, to have more personal, substantial and meaningful projects.
Mixed media projects that includes photography in the process (collage, painting, sculpture, performance, etc) are also welcome.

The payment of the fee is only required if your project is accepted for online publication
FREE PLAN
– 1 collaboration post on IG with 1 or 2 pictures, and a quote from the original project text in description.
– 1 story on IG.

– 1 website article with up to 15 pictures, full text, and link to IG and Website
– 1 collaboration post on IG with 7 pictures, and quotes from the original text.
– 3 stories on IG.

PROMOTION PLAN
Same as PROJECT PLAN but with an extra link on both IG and Website to promote a book, event, etc. Pictures of the book or exhibition can also be included.

TO SUBMIT
Send 1/3 images (Free Plan) or 10/20 images (Project/Promotion Plan) in 2000px large. Please make sure your files are available for at least 7 days. If you don’t own an account with a file sharing website, we recommend using swisstransfer (free, valid for 30 days).

QUESTIONS
What are the fees for?
The fees help to support our work, by covering the time spent going through every applications, preparing the files, doing the layouts, etc.
When will The Publication be released?
The amount of days for a project to be published online can vary between a few days to a couple weeks, depending how many projects are in the queue.
CAN EVERYONE SUBMIT THEIR PROJECT?
Yes, we are open for submissions from artists worldwide. Our only limitations are connected to our values : we won’t publish any project that includes human or animal cruelty. We are also unconditionally supporting Ukraine and Palestine. If your values differ, please do not submit your project, even if it does not relate directly to the ongoing conflicts.
HOW TO apply TO the Project plAn for free?
You can apply to our Project Plan for free if you are a student or refugee. If your project is accepted, you will be asked to send a proof of status.
How to apply for printed publication?
The printed magazine is only open for submissions via open calls, on a specific topic. We always communicate actively on our IG when an open call is open for the printed publication or exhibition.
WHEn WILL I RECEIVE AN ANSWER?
We are trying to answer everyone’s email, even if the project is not selected to be published. Please remember that we are a small team and Figures isn’t our full time work. We sometimes aren’t able to answer everyone and/or need some days to go through every applications.
